EKK!!! It's Friday the 13th....

Well if you are superstitious today's unlucky day is the first of three this year. The next Friday the 13th comes in March, followed by another one Nov. 13th!!! And did you know that such a triple whammy comes around only every 11 years?!?!

Personally for me... I am not sure things can get any worse than they are right now - but I don't think I am going to tempt faith - and thus I think I will be staying home today!!! LOL Now that make this Friday the 13th lucky for YOU - cause that means I am working on some new creations!!!

But in honor of today... I thought I would share 13 facts about Friday the 13th!!!

1. The British Navy built a ship named Friday the 13th. On its maiden voyage, the vessel left dock on a Friday the 13th, and was never heard from again.

2. The ill-fated Apollo 13 launched at 13:13 CST on Apr. 11, 1970. The sum of the date's digits (4-11-70) is 13 (as in 4+1+1+7+0 = 13). And the explosion that crippled the spacecraft occurred on April 13 (not a Friday). The crew did make it back to Earth safely, however.

3. Many hospitals have no room 13, while some tall buildings skip the 13th floor.

4. Fear of Friday the 13th - is called paraskavedekatriaphobia as well as friggatriskaidekaphobia. Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13.

5. Quarterback Dan Marino wore No. 13 throughout his career with the Miami Dolphins. Despite being a superb quarterback (some call him one of the best ever), he got to the Super Bowl just once, in 1985, and was trounced 38-16 by the San Francisco 49ers and Joe Montana (who wore No. 16 and won all four Super Bowls he played in).

6. Butch Cassidy, notorious American train and bank robber, was born on Friday, April 13, 1866.
7. Fidel Castro was born on Friday, Aug. 13, 1926.

8. President Franklin D. Roosevelt would not travel on the 13th day of any month and would never host 13 guests at a meal. Napoleon and Herbert Hoover were also triskaidekaphobic, with an abnormal fear of the number 13.

9. Superstitious diners in Paris can hire a quatorzieme, or professional 14th guest. (How would you like that job? To be paid to eat dinner!!! LOL)

10. Mark Twain once was the 13th guest at a dinner party. A friend warned him not to go. "It was bad luck," Twain later told the friend. "They only had food for 12."

11. Woodrow Wilson considered 13 his lucky number, though his experience didn't support such faith. He arrived in Normandy, France on Friday, Dec. 13, 1918, for peace talks, only to return with a treaty he couldn't get Congress to sign. (The ship's crew wanted to dock the next day due to superstitions, Fernsler said.) He toured the United States to rally support for the treaty, and while traveling, suffered a near-fatal stroke.

12. The number 13 suffers from its position after 12, according to numerologist who consider the latter to be a complete number - 12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 gods of Olympus, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles of Jesus, 12 days of Christmas and 12 eggs in a dozen.

13. The seals on the back of a dollar bill include 13 steps on the pyramid, 13 stars above the eagle's head, 13 war arrows in the eagle's claw and 13 leaves on the olive branch. So far there's been no evidence tying these long-ago design decisions to the present economic situation. (But is does make you wonder!!!)

Weigh In Wednesday...

Blah.... it is another Weight in Wednesday! Where did the time go???? Has it really been a week already????

Well today's weigh in was not too good.... I am at 203 Lbs.... only 1/2 lb from where I was last week! That STINKS!!! And it has just been one of those weeks all the way around..... Between the Army screwing up our pay (BIG TIME), to trying to rush and meet some deadlines I have, to still not starting on my taxes and just dealing with deployment life in general.... well let's just say it has been a week!

So that takes me to: my total weight lost for the past three weeks to 7.5 lbs lost and 55 lbs left to go to met my goal weight.

Hmm - yeah - kind of a glummy day!

All my new files are not up in the store yet... so as soon as they are I will share those files with you!!!

Until Next Time!

Just got to vent.....

You know - I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hubby!! I really really do.... but sometimes.... well sometimes he freaking drives me crazy!!!! And it isn't cause he doesn't take the trash out (well cause lets be honest, most of the time he isn't here to TAKE the trash out!) And it isn't cause he left his clothes lying around (well that's because -most of the time he isn't here). And it isn't even because he make nasty body noises.... (I hope that isn't because he isn't here!!!) LOL

No... my hubby drives me CRAZY cause of his stupid BLACKBERRY... I mean I like to commonly refer to it as the "Crackberry" cause when he is home that thing is like crack - he is on it from morning to noon to midnight... the email, texting, the ringing.... The beeps, the chirps, the rings... But wait! He isn't here.... so how could that be what is bothering me you ask?!?!?

Well have you seen THIS commercial yet???

If so you should know - he POCKET DIALS me!!!! All the freaking time!!! Night before last he pocket dialed me FIVE times in the space of an hour.... and the really annoying thing about it - HE DOESN'T EVEN REALIZE HE HAS DONE IT!!!!!

Sheesh... I sat there for almost five mins night before last listening to the meeting that he was in.... (hmmm I hope it wasn't top secret information in that one!!!)

But tonight when he pocket dialed me - yet again - I just kept yelling "HELLO".... "HELLO"... until he finally heard a voice coming out of his pocket!!! And then he acts like all surprised... like why am I calling him?!?! Don't I know he is busy??? Of course I am like I DIDN'T!!!! Sheesh!!!!

So as soon as I saw the above commercial - I about died laughing... cause that's totally my hubby!!!!

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did - and thanks for letting me vent!!!

Oh.... and make sure you check back tomorrow - as I will give you a sneak peek of the THIRTY - yes I said THIRTY new cutter files I have up at Paperthreads!!!

Until Next Time - Watch where you put that phone!!! "YEAH!" Bahahaha...

Movie Review.....

I only have a moment today - as I have a deadline I have to meet and a "to do list" ten miles long!!!! (Ok, ok - maybe NOT TEN MILES long - but it seems that way!!)

But I did get a chance to go to the movies this weekend - and I have to tell you I had the BEST time!!!! Yes, yes, yes - It WAS chick flick - but it was really good!

So what did I go see? Well I went to see "He's Just Not that in to You!"

I have to tell you this was a really really really good movie!!! Besides the fact that it had some really big name actors/actresses in it - the story line was very good! And I have to tell you there was a ton of truth in it!!!

Here is the just of the movie.....

A group of interconnected, Baltimore-based twenty- and thirtysomethings navigate their various relationships from the shallow end of the dating pool through the deep, murky waters of married life, trying to read the signs of the opposite sex--and hoping to be the exceptions to the "no-exceptions"; rule.

Gigi just wants a man who says he'll call--and does--while Alex advises her to stop sitting by the phone.

Beth wonders if she should call it off after years of committed singlehood with her boyfriend, Neil, but he doesn't think there's a single thing wrong with their unmarried life.

Janine's not sure if she can trust her husband, Ben, who can't quite trust himself around Anna.

Anna can't decide between the sexy married guy, or her straightforward, no-sparks standby, Conor, who can't get over the fact that he can't have her.

And Mary, who's found an entire network of loving, supportive men, just needs to find one who's straight.

All in all - I will give this movie two thumbs up, and a diet coke (can't give it the popcorn cause I am on a diet don't you know!!!)

Until Next Time!
